Rosneft Presents Interregional Tourist Route Between Ufa and Orenburg

27 September 2024

On World Tourism Day, Rosneft, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Ministry of Economic Development, Investment, Tourism and External Relations of the Orenburg Region presented the interregional car route «Force of Nature» between Ufa and Orenburg.

The presentation was held at Bashneft filling stations in Bashkortostan and the Orenburg Region. Representatives from the Company and the tourism industry told car travellers about unique and memorable places along the route, which is located between regional centres.

Rosneft is committed to the development of domestic tourism and aims to create comfortable conditions for car travellers. One of Rosneft’s key objectives is to enhance the quality of its roadside assistance and customer service at its filling stations.

The main part of the Force of Nature route, which is almost 700 km long, runs along the R-240 federal highway. Travelling all the way with stops will take a car traveller from 2 to 5 days one way. Travellers can combine the locations in a variety of ways. There are Bashneft filling stations along the route, where tourists can not only fill up with quality fuel, but also have a snack on the way and get necessary services, such as tyre pumping. Bashneft filling stations are located all along the route, every 30-50 kilometres, adding to the safety and comfort of travellers.

The Force of Nature car route brings together tourist attractions for all tastes: a water reservoir, salt lakes and mineral springs; a nature park and botanical landscape monument; a nature reserve to preserve the Przewalski’s horse population; a modern art centre around an ancient copper smelter — a cultural heritage site.

People come to Sol-Iletsk mainly for the famous salt lakes, whose water has health-giving properties. The only complex of 6 lakes in the Urals is comparable to the Dead Sea resorts in its characteristics and therapeutic effects.

The project to create a semi-wild population of wild Przewalski’s horse in Russia, listed in the Red Book of Russia, is being implemented on the territory of the Orenburg Nature Reserve. The Muradymov Gorge is famous for its steep cliffs, picturesque meanders of the Ik River and 46 caves. The Staromuradymovskaya Cave contains stylised rock drawings of a man dating back more than 8,000 years to the early Neolithic period. Andreyevskiye cones — velvet-covered hills are part of the ridge «sawn» by the flows of the Bolshoy Ik River.

The Nugush water reservoir is located on the lower reaches of the Nugush River in the territory of the Bashkiriya National Park. The reservoir is one of the cleanest in the region and is popular with locals and tourists alike.

The Voskresensky plant is the oldest copper smelter in the Southern Urals, having started operations in 1745 and was one of the largest suppliers of copper to the Russian Empire. Today, the plant has become an object of art and a centre of attraction for art lovers.

The sea peak is Turataw Shihan, a remnant of a barrier reef that rose from the bottom of the ancient Perm Sea about 300 million years ago. There are two other shihans near Turataw — Kushtaw and Yuraktaw. Here you can see fossilised marine life — sponges, corals, algae, echinoderms.

People come to the village of Krasnousolskoye for its mineral and hydrogen sulphide waters — more than 250 springs flow along the banks of the Usolka River. There is also the balneological resort of Krasnousolsk, famous for its therapeutic baths and mud.

It is planned to develop and present new tours in the Ural-Volga region to popularise the beauty and uniqueness of the Russian regions’ nature and to stimulate the development of domestic car tourism.
